I’m Nyasha Mandizvidza, an AI Systems Engineer working across artificial intelligence, data infrastructure and backend systems.
From software foundations
to intelligent systems.
My work sits at the intersection of software engineering, machine learning and enterprise infrastructure. I focus on connecting those disciplines into systems that are useful, understandable and reliable.
At AFC Commercial Bank, I work on enterprise AI, real-time transaction data and workflow automation. That environment brings engineering into close contact with security, compliance and operations—and makes traceability an essential part of the work.
How I approach the work.
Start with the whole system.
A model is one component. The data it receives, the interface that serves it, the infrastructure underneath it and the people using it all shape the outcome.
Make decisions explainable.
Useful systems make their behavior understandable. Clear contracts, traceable data and observable execution help people investigate a result and decide what to do next.
Design for the operating reality.
Failures, changing requirements and imperfect data are part of engineering. Recovery paths, evaluation and maintainability deserve attention from the beginning.
Where AI meets infrastructure.
I’m focused on production AI and the systems around it: real-time data pipelines, explainable machine learning, retrieval-based applications and the backend services that make them accessible.
MLOps connects that work to deployment and operation. Reproducible model artifacts, meaningful evaluation, monitoring and clear service boundaries are central to how I think about moving an idea into a dependable system.

My professional experience began at ZARNet, working with Java Spring Boot, Laravel and JavaScript across enterprise applications, ERP systems, automation and integrations.
I joined AFC Commercial Bank as a Systems Developer in 2023, working across Java APIs, Temenos T24, loan systems and payment integrations. In January 2025, I moved into my current role as AI & Enterprise Data Specialist.
That progression informs my approach to AI: software engineering, data systems and enterprise integration provide the foundation on which intelligent applications depend.
